  • What is MS Life?

    MS Life is the biggest event in Europe for people affected by MS. It’s an opportunity to hear the latest from the MS researchers, find out about how to manage your MS and to meet other people with MS too. You can see what happened at MS Life 2012 in our video.

  • Do I need to book my place now?

    You can book your free places in advance with our on line booking form. You can also register for free on the day, however registering in advance will save you time on the day and will mean you get kept up to date with all the exciting MS Life news!

  • Will I be sent tickets for entry to MS Life?

    No physical tickets will be issued for MS Life. You do not need to bring proof of booking with you as all the booking information will be held at the registration points on the day.

  • What are the MS Life 2014 opening times?

    MS Life will be open from 10:00-18:00 on Saturday 26 April and 10:00-17:00 on Sunday 27 April. You can come along at any time during the above opening times.

  • How do I become a sponsor for MS Life 2014?

    It is thanks to the support of our sponsors that allows MS Life to happen. If you’d like to find out more about sponsorship opportunities fill out online enquiry form and someone will get back to you.

  • How do I become an exhibitor at MS Life?

    The exhibition showcases all the latest products and organisations available to support you. If you would like to become an exhibitor at MS Life please complete this online enquiry form and someone will get back to you. A list of exhibitors at MS Life will be available in November and will be updated regularly as new exhibitors sign up.

  • Can I follow MS Life 2014 on Twitter?

    You can follow the MS Society on twitter @mssocietyuk, and as we get closer, people will start tweeting about the event. You could join them and get tweeting about MS Life. Let people know you’re coming and whilst you’re there tell them what a great time you’re having. Make sure you include #mslife2014 in your tweet!

  • How to donate?

    Your help can help fund vital research and support services for people with MS. You can donate online or call 0800 100 133.

  • Why am I being asked to make a donation?

    We need your support to continue the fight against MS.

    Our ultimate goal is to find a cure. Until then, we will do all that we can to enable people with MS to live life, knowing that they do not have to face MS alone. If you can, please give £5 or more and help change lives.

  • Will I be filmed / photographed at MS Life 2014?

    We may use photographs and video taken at MS Life in our publicity and marketing materials, including our website. By attending MS Life you (and your guests) are granting full permission to the MS Society to use any photograph and video recordings taken at this event to be used by the MS Society indefinitely for its charitable purposes.   • Will videos or copies of the presentations be available after the event?

    All of the main research talks taking place in the MS Life lecture theatre will be available to watch on line after MS Life. Depending on the format of the workshop or talk, presentations may not be available after the event.

  • Where can I find a programme for MS Life 2014?

    A full programme for the weekend is available is to download here.

  • Do I have to pre-book for workshops and talks?

    Pre-booking is not available. All talks and workshops are open to all, if they are full some are repeated on both days or you can go to the corresponding zone after the workshop to chat with the speaker or pick up more information on the topic

  • Will there be a fashion show at MS Life 2014?

    Unfortunately we have been unable to find a fashion retailer to support a fashion show at MS Life 2014 so there will be no fashion show.

  • Will there be a fundraising activity at MS Life 2014?

    Wheel & Walk will not run at this at MS Life 2014, but there will still be plenty of opportunities to get involved and fundraise for the MS Society at MS Life.

  • What’s happening in the hub?

    The MS Society hub will be returning to MS Life 2014. This is where you can find out what’s going on at the event, get all our latest publications, find out more about our research, our support and how you can get involved with our fundraising and volunteering projects. It’s a great opportunity to meet MS Society staff and volunteers. You can also visit the hub for suggestions about how to get the most out of your visit to MS Life.

  • Will there be a Spa at MS Life 2014?

    The MS Spa will return and you will be able to book slots upon arrival at MS Life for a small donation.

Facilities at MS Life 2014

  • Can I hire a wheelchair or scooter?

    Free wheelchair and scooter hire is available to book in advance. Fair mobility will be providing all the scooters and wheelchairs and to book your wheelchair or scooter please call 07553365252 or email .

  • I would like a BSL interpreter

    If you require a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter to help you access MS Life please email to let us know.

  • Will my special dietary requirements be catered for?

    If you have any special dietary requirements please ask a member of the catering team at one of the catering points situated around the exhibition hall who will be happy to prepare something suitable for you.

  • Will there be somewhere to put my bags and coats?

    There will be a free cloakroom where you can store luggage and coats during MS Life. Please remember to collect your stuff at the end.

  • Will there be wifi?

    Free (limited) wifi will be available across the venue so you can get online on all your devices at MS Life.

  • Can I bring my children to MS Life 2014?

    Children are more than welcome to come along to MS Life. As well as the free crèche there will be other activities suitable for children to get involved in.

    The crèche is free and available to all delegates with children aged 0-15 years old. Crèche places are assigned on a first come first served basis. If you would like to use this service, please complete this section of the booking form when you register. Or if you call to book your place, please let us know when we take your details.

  • Will I be able to get large print versions of documents?

  • Will there be a prayer room available?

    A prayer room will be available throughout MS life opening times.

  • Will there be somewhere for me to rest?

    A quiet room will be available to anyone that would like to rest of take some time out from MS Life. There is also plenty of seating, tables and chairs throughout the venue.

  • Do I need to bring my own sharp bin or clipper?

    Sharp bins for needles can be found in all accessible toilets that do not have baby changing units, there are seven located across the venue.

Travel and Accommodation

  • Where is MS Life happening?

    MS Life 2014 will return to Manchester Central (formally known as the G-Mex) which is an accessible venue in the heart of Manchester.

    Manchester Central Convention Centre is accessible. Please note MS Life will be set over a large area of the building to enable us to fit everything in and allow enough space for everyone to get around. With that in mind if you have limited mobility or are affected by fatigue it might be worth thinking about hiring a free wheelchair or mobility scooter to get around.

    MS Life is returning to Manchester as it’s a UK central location and offers the best flat floor option for the size of venue required to put on MS Life.

  • How do I get to MS Life 2014?

  • How do I get grant so I can attend MS Life 2014?

    MS Life grant applications closed on 28 March. If you are still waiting to hear on the outcome of your grant application or have any other questions relating to MS Life grants please contact the Grants Team at the MS Society by calling 020 8438 0700 or emailing .

  • Will there be a Park & Ride facility?

    This free service will operate on Saturday from 09:30-18:00 and Sunday from 08:30-17:00. Accessible mini buses will operate between the park and ride car park site and Manchester Central. More details can be found on our travel information page.

  • Where can I stay?

    There is a variety of hotel accommodation available across Manchester. You can view the accommodation available through our accommodation partner Visit Manchester or call Visit Manchester on: 0161 238 4514 / 4563

    Accessible accommodation – MS Society volunteers have carried out access checks on a variety of Manchester hotels at MS Life in 2012. Download a copy of the approved hotel list or you can email if you would prefer to be sent a copy.

    Please remember to contact the hotel directly before you book if you have any specific requirements.
